A story of visiting Mineola Texas, a scenic cruise, and very cool C6 lights. Fun with Bryan (Yellow Jacket Garage) & Jean, Bobby (Choppy’s Headlights), and Doug/Kathleen. Corvettes and an XLR on the back roads. Enjoying the scenic views. HAVE FUN!
With phase 2 of the 2000 Salvage Title Corvette FIXES, it was time to give the car to its new owner, Daniel, a war vet. Daniel was cheated out of $5k for another car, so I wanted to give him this one, since my wife was not enjoying it!?!? Daniel will probably pay for some of the repairs. Since I know the car is NOT perfect, I can’t actually SELL the car for full price with good conscience. Especially to a friend!
Fun cruises through East Texas with Willie and Bryan (of Yellow Jacket Garage). A simple video with a few cool pictures and lots of scenic driving. If you ever want to know where to drive in East Texas look me up. Meanwhile, HAVE FUN!
Phase 2 of the 2000 Salvage Title Corvette FIXES! Please see prior videos of this car from Road Odyssey & Yellow Jacket Garage. Anyway, this round of fixes include: tub cracks, rear hatch seal, rear fender reattached, light sensors replaced, and oil sensor replaced.
Which is more accident-prone? 2020 C8 Corvette or 2020 GT500 Shelby? Sort of a toss-up. Really too early to know, but its fun to guess. The answer may be obvious, really. I VERY briefly look at cost, driver age, least/most used, and insurance claims to hypothesize and give HUGE guess. When you look at all of the vettes wrecked so far, it seems the vette wins at being the looser.
Will the 2021 C8 Production NOT meet expectations because of a chip shortage? It is slightly possible. a) Corona cases have risen some, but the vaccine is out. So the virus should be getting under control. b) Demand for products like the C8 & the need for production to meet the C8 backlog and current orders is high. c) BUT! A chip shortage [chip makers behind compared to the demand] MAY have some effect on reaching production goals.
With so much bad happening in the world, how are street racing & takeovers not being reined in by the police and government? Silly chaotic events where kids are out-smarting the police. Really? Does that even seem possible? Parents are loosing their kids to violence and illegal behaviors. I am so sorry for their loses. I plead to the kids doing this activity and capitalizing on it, to please be more careful and more empathetic towards others.
I ordered my C8 at the end of August 2020. I explain why I was patient and allow for time to tell me what to expect. NOTES [ for those that disagree ] : 1) This video is for fun, not hate. 2) Blade Silver is not available in 2021. I know that. If you look at the thumbnail and other pictures, they are all with the NEW silver-ish color.
